Dominicans encouraged to take pride in their cultures and values

Minister for Finance Dr. Irving McIntyre has called on citizens to take pride in the cultures and values which identify them as Dominicans.

Dr. McIntyre’s remarks came during the official opening ceremony of the 2024 Independence celebrations which was held this morning at the State House Conference Centre.

The Finance Minister represented Prime Minister Roosevelt Skerrit at the opening ceremony.

This year’s Independence activity is being celebrated under the theme “Péyi Nou, Kado Nou”.

Meantime Minister for Culture Gretta Roberts hailed Dominica’s resiliency journey through 46 years of Independence.
