This Caribbean monument is located in the French Caribbean island of Martinique and represents a tribute to the island’s history of slavery. The Anse Canard Slave Memorial is located on the shores of Le Diamant in Martinique and was completed in 1998 as a tribute to the 150th anniversary of the emancipation of slavery in the French West Indies.
