Retired Justice of Appeal His Lordship Davidson Kelvin Baptiste has been engaged as a third judge to deal specifically with civil matters at the High Court of Dominica.
His Lordship Baptiste, a Dominican national, recently served as Acting Judge of the Supreme Court of the Turks and Caicos Islands after his retirement as a Justice of Appeal.
Minister for National Security and Legal Affairs Rayburn Blackmoore made the announcement during a press conference on Monday.
The National Security Minister said the matter of having night sittings at the Magistrate’s court will be looked at moving forward.
